Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU rector, has attended the annual event held by the Association of Development and Financing of Productive Families and launched by Prince Faisal bin Bandar in Riyadh.
Dr. Al-Mugren expressed his gratitude to participate in such event that contribute to the development of this nation.
More than 10,000 jobs for young men and women were provided and self-help loans totaling SR11 million ($2.9 million) were given to unemployed youths. 27 agreements were signed with private-sector companies.
He also announced the launch of the Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdul Aziz center for training and employment.
A project called Ijdah, which will help Saudi male and female youths to gain skills for employment in the local market, was also launched.
Dr. Al-Mugren concluded his statement by stressing the necessity of charitable works which receive full support from the government of this nation.
