20250804812Under the patronage of MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, an agreement of mutual training was signed with the Saudi Building Code National Committee (SBCNC), in the presence of the secretary general, Eng. Saad bin Shuail, vice-rectors and deans.
The dean of Community Service Deanship, Dr. Omar al-Sharyofi, pointed out that this agreement comes within the framework of enhancing the community partnership between the university, on one hand, and institutions and commissions serving the community.
Targeting engineers, technicians and graduates, the training addressed the field of Saudi building code which becomes an essential requirement for building and housing.
Speaking about the agreement, Dr. al-Sharyofi, added that it is implemented by the Deanship of Community Service in cooperation with the College of Engineering, offering training by specialized experts in the field of Saudi building code.
The supervisor of the program, Dr. Abdullah al-Shehri, said that the training will be offered based on a training plan characterized with different phases. While the first phase will focus on qualifying trainers in the field of building code (eight codes), the second one will cover six building codes.
During the signing ceremony, MU rector, commended the role of played by the Deanship of Community Service in providing exceptional community initiatives that keep up with the prosperity that the country is experiencing under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
