“FACULTY MEMBER AND ACADEMIC AUTHORSHIP” FORUM CONDUCTED BY DEANSHIP OF LIBRARY AFFAIRS

The Deanship of Library Affairs held a forum entitled ‘Faculty member and academic authorship’ to introduce faculty to the requirements of academic authorship.
The forum began by a welcoming speech for the dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Shadi al-Shuwayer who extended his thanks to MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren and the vice-rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed al-Rumaih for their unconditional support to improve the quality of services provided to the university staff.
Three papers were presented during the forum as follow:
Prof. Ibrahim al-Zua'ayber, Professor of Educational Management and Planning delivered a paper on the administrative procedures, requirements and conditions that should be considered for authorship.
Dr. Tanaf al-Otaibi, Professor of Literary and Criticism, talked about the relationship between language and authorship.
Dr. Rana al-Abdan addressed writing skills for authorship.
