Dr. Mohammed al-Weneen, the dean of IT Deanship, pointed out that the deanship intends to launch several technical projects including ‘Iriqaa’ Platform – an integrated platform for automating all procedures related to courses taken by the university staff or community members, and Astronomical Observatory Application – which offer services pertinent to calendar and astronomical phenomenon.

Dr. al-Weneen added the university has completed the process of integration with eleven public sectors through GSB. As part of its plan to automate the university technical projects, Dr. al-Weneen said that there is a plan to develop an e-system which aims to receive requests from the university departments that are interested in developing their own systems and applications. This system will not only minimize the procedures of completing these projects, but also, and most importantly, will allow stakeholders to engage in a transparent process where they are constantly notified about the progress of their projects.
