Under the patronage of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, and in the presence of deans and the vice-rector for educational affairs, Prof. Mohammed Al-Obud, the annual meeting for freshmen was held at the auditorium of main campus and was broadcasted to faculty members and students who are interested to watch it remotely.

The meeting began by a welcoming speech for the dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, who extended his thanks to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and His Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their efforts in fighting Covid-10 and concern to implement safety measures.

Despite all odds over the past period, the Deanship of Student Affairs has attempted to achieve all planned goals by conducting a wide-range of activities and programs, added Al-Ofaisan, pointing out that the deanship is working according to the university’s vision, mission, and goals.

In a statement addressed by Dr. Al-Obudi, the vice-rector said this new academic year is starting amid a safe return of students to school. Countries all over the world are still fighting the new variant of the pandemic and so is the university by applying precautionary measures to ensure the progress of the educational process, added the vice-rector.

Before concluding his remark with parenting tips to students, Prof. Al-Obudi commended the primary role and full cooperation of students for the safe return to face-to-face classes.
