MU RECTOR AWARDS WINNERS IN THE 5TH STUDENT FORUM

MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, patronized the closing ceremony of student activities for the academic year 1444 AH. The ceremony also included awarding the winners of the fifth student forum contest which was organized and supervised by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The event was attended by vice-rectors, deans, directors, faculty members, and students.

The ceremony kicked off with recitation of the Holy Quran, followed announcing the results of the contest. Excellent innovative models were shown in the ceremony along with presentations by students on drug awareness. A brief overview of the student activities for the academic year 1444 AH was also presented.

Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi, the Dean of Student Affairs, delivered a speech on the vision and strategy of the deanship for the upcoming period. He also highlighted several achievements during the current academic year, which are attributed to the support MU rector.

At the end of the ceremony, student clubs and outstanding colleges were honored along with coordinators in the fifth student forum whose efforts in motivating, encouraging, and monitoring student activities in their colleges were appreciated. Winners in the contest of fifth student forum were also awarded.

MU rector also launched the associated exhibition of the fifth student forum, overseeing the outstanding contributions and works of the university students in various fields of the forum.

The forum's total value of prizes exceeded 200,000 SR, financed by the Student Fund. The edition of this forum featured different areas and they are: scientific research, short films, caricature drawing, fine arts, photography, community service, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The forum's themes focused on several topics, such as humanitarian issues, promoting intellectual security, environmental protection, sports, tourism development, promoting integrity and combating corruption.
