MU'S DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL AFFAIRS PARTICIPATES IN A PROGRAM ON 'SHIFT TO ACCRUAL ACCOUNTING'

The director of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mousa - Chairman of the Transition to Accrual Accounting Committee), attended a program entitled “Leading the Transition to Accrual,” which was held by the Financial Skills Center in cooperation with the Center for Accounting Accrual in the Ministry of Finance. The program’s goal is to enable entities to succeed in transitioning to accrual basis accounting. 

The importance of transition and its impact in the short term as well as its sustainability in the long term were discussed. Enriching experiences and leadership practices during the transition process were shared along with dealing with obstacles and the analysis of current performance. Attendees also learned how to deal with difficulties and the right way to come up with appropriate solutions to close performance gaps and generate a plan to proceed with the transition process.
