MU WINS 3RD PLACE IN THE ACCOUNTING INNOVATION FORUM

Mr. Saleh Al-Awad, a student at MU, won the third place in the Solution Design Challenge track entitled: "Value Makers" at the Accounting Innovation Forum ceremony, which was organized by the Saudi Center for Financial Audit and Performance Control at the General Auditing Bureau (GAB), during the period 10-7 November 2024. The ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the General Auditing Bureau, Dr. Hussam Al-Anqari, the Minister of Education and a number of university rectors. 

The ceremony - held on the International Accounting Day- was opened with a speech by the President of the General Auditing Bureau, who pointed out that the GAB - as an incubator for the accounting profession - strives to invest in students, in cooperation with accounting departments, to develop their practices in accounting profession in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

50 teams participated in the contest which featured two tracks: Solution Design Challenge and Future Foresight with more than (220) students who designed multiple solutions for innovative ideas that contribute to the development of the field of accounting and auditing.

The forum also included the “Cognitive Inspiration” track with (24) interactive cognitive meetings delivered by local and international experts. More than (40000) people watched the event.
