The Applied College launches the Industrial Engineering Technology Diploma and signs Training Contracts and Employment Opportunities in Partnership with MODON

Under the patronage of the Vice Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Mohammed Al-Aboudi, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Eng. Majed Al-Argoubi, and in the presence of the Vice CEO for Operations at MODON, Eng. Mamdouh Al-Drees, the CEO of the Applied College, Dr. Shadi Al-Shuwayer, the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Educational Affairs, Dr. Anas Al-Munif, the Head of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department, Dr. Abdulmajid Al-Manea, along with several senior leaders from both sides, the Applied College, in partnership with MODON, officially launched the Industrial Engineering Technology Diploma Program at Sudair Industrial and Business City.

Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with leading industrial companies, including Kirby Contracting Company, represented by Mr. Ahmed Al-Makki; Komel Company, represented by Mr. Hisham Al-Aqla; Al-Mutakamel Company for the Manufacturing of Cables, Optical Fibers, and Accessories, represented by Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Haleel; and Wasit Entertainment Systems, represented by Eng. Tareq Al-Haideri.

These agreements aim to activate and strengthen community and industry partnerships, particularly with the private sector, by providing strategic support and collaboration across multiple fields—most notably in training contracts and the creation of employment opportunities within the industrial sector at company sites in Sudair Industrial and Business City. The initiatives seek to enhance the efficiency of national human capital, elevate students’ technical and professional competencies, and supply the labor market with highly qualified national talent.

Such objectives align directly with the priorities of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting national economic development amid the Kingdom’s accelerating industrial growth. The agreements also promote the exchange of practical and scientific expertise among all parties, particularly in conjunction with the launch of this specialized and forward-looking academic program at the Applied College.
