Overview

Students study a set of core courses that focus on developing skills such as English, computer fundamentals, probability, statistics, and physics. Students also take programming courses. Through the Information Technology major, students study core courses that provide students with a comprehensive understanding of information technology, such as systems integration, multimedia and human-computer interaction, visual programming, and information security. In the final levels of study, students choose one of the tracks within the Information Technology department, including Cybersecurity, where they study advanced courses in applied cryptography, network security, enterprise cybersecurity, security governance, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis. The other track is Cloud Computing, where they study advanced courses such as cloud computing security, cloud application development, intelligent cloud computing, and cloud service management.

Objectives

The program aims to:

  1. Serve the educational process primarily and intensively for undergraduate students in computer science and information technology.
  2. Provide a distinguished study environment to help students achieve optimal academic achievement through state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms.
  3. Link theoretical studies in computer science and information technology with practical applications and practices.
  4. Direct curricula in academic departments to meet the needs and requirements of the labor market.
  5. Develop students' leadership and entrepreneurial skills and update them on the latest developments in computer science and information technology.
  6. Serve the research process and graduate studies in a balanced manner that aligns with quality assurance requirements in the educational process and achieves academic accreditation for the college's programs and departments.
  7. Provide learning and scientific research resources through the university library and global research databases.
  8. Obtain academic accreditation (nationally and internationally) for all programs in the college.
  9. Direct research to assist the local community and motivate students to participate in research.
