Overview

Master's type: Academic  

Aimed at: Holders of a Bachelor's degree in (Law - Regulations - Law - Sharia - Judiciary)  

Duration of program: Four semesters

Admission requirements:  

  1. The applicant must hold a regular Bachelor's degree in (Law - Regulations - Law - Sharia - Judiciary).
  2. The applicant must have a GPA of 3.25 out of 5 or equivalent.
  3. Attach a graduate aptitude test.
  4. Attach two academic references.

The relative weighting of the admission criteria is 50% Bachelor's degree.

Objectives

  1. Providing the Saudi labor market with specialists of distinguished scientific competencies that specialize in the field of private law; able to deal with contemporary legal issues and their modern applications.
  2. Creating an educational and stimulating environment that focuses on developing students' cognitive and practical skills and enhancing their ability to think critically and analytically.
  3. Developing specialized legal scientific research in line with the legislative and judicial development within the Saudi, regional and international community.
  4. Enabling students to understand and apply specialized and in-depth legal knowledge in the field of private law effectively, and find solutions to complex legal issues in a way that contributes to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.

  • Work as a legal advisor to private sector entities.
  • Work in jobs supporting the judiciary.
  • Work in the secretariats of committees with judicial jurisdiction.
  • Work in governmental bodies and national associations concerned with human rights.
  • Work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (diplomatic and administrative).
  • Work in university teaching

Requirements

  1. ⁠Must hold a bachelor’s degree from a Saudi university or a recognized university.
  2. ⁠If employed, must obtain approval from their employer.
  3. ⁠Must achieve at least 70% in the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates.
  4. ⁠Must present proof of English language proficiency, such as TOEFL, IELTS, STEP, or an equivalent certification.
  5. ⁠Must pass the entrance exams conducted by the department.
