The Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering program at Majmaah University aims to keep pace with the Kingdom's development in achieving Vision 2030, through the National Industrial Development Program in the energy sector. The program also contributes to achieving sustainable development for the Kingdom, as renewable and alternative energy is one of the goals of sustainable development.

The program seeks to qualify national cadres with sufficient knowledge and skills to implement and manage the Kingdom's projects in the field of renewable energy, which are included in the National Renewable Energy Program. It also aims to support scientific research and engineering innovation to achieve excellence and leadership in the field of renewable energy.

Obtaining a Master of Science degree in Renewable Energy Engineering requires the completion of 35 credit hours, distributed as follows:

  • 23 credit hours of compulsory courses.
  • 6 credit hours of elective courses.
  • 6 research hours (thesis).

The program includes courses that address energy systems, alternative energy sources, and applications of renewable energy systems, in addition to studying energy efficiency and integrating renewable energy sources into the electricity grid. The program also includes elective courses that focus on smart control in the electric power system, smart grid systems, and energy storage systems. The program aims to graduate engineers with sufficient knowledge and skills to conduct advanced and sustainable scientific research in renewable energy to meet the needs of society and the labor market, and to keep pace with the aspirations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in achieving its vision.
