About Program
The nursing program at the College of Nursing at Majmaah University aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to practice advanced evidence-based nursing care, work in various departments to nursing diagnose, plan, and treat patients with high scientific and professional competence, provide comprehensive and safe healthcare, and contribute to the development of the health system in the Kingdom.
The program aims to:
- Provide a stimulating and appropriate academic environment for teaching and educating students to excel in classrooms, laboratories, and clinical practice.
- Enable graduates to apply the theoretical and experimental knowledge acquired from the basic sciences and nursing sciences to develop comprehensive care plans for individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan.
- Equip graduates with the leadership and managerial skills and principles necessary to deliver distinguished nursing care and to advance the nursing profession in all areas of practice.
- Prepare graduates to practice nursing in accordance with professional standards, ethical principles, and codes of conduct that safeguard the rights of individuals and the community.
- Empower graduates in both theoretical and clinical fields to keep pace with new developments in research, technology, and informatics in the nursing profession, and to contribute effectively at the local, regional, and international levels.
- Promote the concept of community partnership between nurses and care recipients within the cultural framework and system of values.

Admission takes place in August at the beginning of each academic year. In order to be admitted to the preparatory year, students have to submit the following documents:
- A general school certificate or an equivalent document, not later than 5 years after school graduation.
- An Aptitude Test Certificate (ATC) administered by the National Center for Assessment in Higher Education.
- The total admission score of an applicant is calculated based on his/her scores in the science section of the Saudi secondary school certificate (30%), the cumulative score of the school certificate as a whole (40%), and the ATC results (30%).
- Before admission, applicants must provide a medical fitness report from a public hospital. After that, they have to do a medical investigation in the medical clinics of Majmaah University, which will finally decide about their fitness. According to the University, students are given some vaccines after admission.
- Following the preparatory year, the required GPA to join the Nursing program is 4.
