Upon the instructions of the official in charge of the deanship of the preparatory year, the committee of the academic affairs have been formed, which constitutes the basic unit for running the educational process in the preparatory year. From the very early beginning of its foundation, and under a complete supervision from the preparatory year official in charge, the committee has carried out the following tasks:

•  Distributing and labeling the classrooms.

•  Preparing the placement tests

• Designing the academic schedules and distributing the teaching load to each staff member.

•  Distributing the students to the classrooms.  Holding regular meetings with the students 

• Organizing meetings between the students and the dean.
• Completely observing the process of absence.

• Organizing the English language tests in all buildings.

• Organizing workshops for all the faculty members. The Concerns of the Academic Affairs:
•  Cooperation with other committees.

Answering the most important inquiries 

• Students’ transferring from faculty to other.
•  Changing the timing of the lectures
•  Reviewing the exam papers
• Preparing the tests.

• The accumulative rate.

• The equivalizing of the academic subjects in consistency with the approved plan of the preparatory year.

• Students’ transference from university to university.

• Accepting or refusing the absence.

• Covering classes
