E-systems Unit

General objective:

Integration of modern technology with the academic education system which will raise the level of the educational process and guarantee the efficiency of the educational outputs.

Specific objectives:

1. Provide education 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
2. Provide a learning environment that takes into account the learners privacy and the individual differences.
3. Create an environment suitable for uploading and displaying e-courses for learners.
4. Increase the level of communication between faculty members and learners.
5. Take advantage of the technology revolution and the transition from traditional education to e-learning and distance education.
6. Provide an integrated system to set virtual classroom to increases interaction between parties to the educational process.

To achieve the objectives of the unit, Deanship of e-learning and distance education initiated assigning supervisors for the learning management system whom are: Mr. Thamer Ali Al-Dgieshi and Mr. Mohammed Mansour Abahussain. Also, the deanship is currently working on linking the learning management system with the educational database at the university; then the faculty member will be able to access the system and find courses and groups as well as students enrolled in every course. And thus faculty members will add e-content, follow up students' performance electronically and use all the activities available by using learning management system features. Also, the deanship (represented by the system supervisors) will follow-up the educational process, the updates of the system as well as the training and will provide support and all necessarily services for users.
