His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren welcomed in his office the colonel Mr. Hamad A. Abanmi, Director of Civil Defense in Majmaah, Mr. Hamed N. Mereed, Director of Traffic Dept. and a number of security leaders. This meeting came after the successful completion of a hypothetical evacuation process for the University building.
A number of issues were discussed pertinent to security and safety. Mr. Abanmi expressed his congratulations to the Rector for the achievements and extended his thanks for the cooperation from the University side with regard to safety and security issues. He also gave some instructions about safety for the University building which were welcomed by the Rector.
Dr. Al-Mugren stated that the University is always in pursuit of solving the problems of safety if found. He then directed the director of safety and security to write a weekly report about the achievements and obstacles in cooperation with the Civil Defense.
Mr. Mereed also stated that the traffic dept. is also concerned about easing the traffic jam around the University buildings.
At the end of the meeting, memorial photos were taken with the presence of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Mohammad Al-Rukban, Director of Public Relation and Media, Mr. Nasser Al-Yousif and the Director of Safety and Security, Mr. Abdelrahman Al-AbdelJabbar.
