A number of activities were held on the international day of people with disability (Nukbah) which takes place on 3rd of December, 2016. The events, organized by special needs unit, aimed to promote the awareness of community towards people with disability.
On the participation of MU in celebrating the international day of people with disability, MU Vice-Rector, Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari- Head of Social Responsibility Board (Marsad), said several initiatives were taken by MU, most importantly, the establishment of a unit assigned to provide all kinds of services to people with disability. The university policy of people with disability, which is the main frame of reference, is another major achievement for MU, added Dr. Al-Dosari.
The university which places great importance to this particular group of people has supported several projects and studies which serve their interests. As a result, MU has set a slogan “determined elites” in compliance with MU directives.
Dr. Al-Dosari encouraged all the university departments to engage in the activities conducted by the university to celebrate this specific group.
