MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, chaired the consultative meeting which was held in the College of Science and Humanities in Ghat.
At the outset, Dr. Al-Mugren extended his congratulations for the late outstanding achievement of the university in the e-Government Transformation Measurement Program. MU was ranked the first among Saudi universities and sixth among all public bodies (approximately 157) according to a report published by e-Government Program Yesser on 2018.
Dean of Quality and Skills Development, Dr. Mohammed Al-Oubudi, reviewed the criteria of quality accreditation linked to scientific research followed by an overview of scientific research at MU, presented by Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, as well as the interaction of faculty staff with scientific research.
MU rector then inaugurating a number of systems, starting with the MU Award for Outstanding Scholarship-Students, Prof. Al-Shayae, vice-rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research said that the primary aim of this award is to encourage scholarship-students to exert more efforts and gain more knowledge in their field.
MU rector has also launched the Translation System, after its mechanism was elaborated by Mr. Yousef Al-Rukban, head of e-Portal department.
The last system launched at this meeting was related to scholarship, promotion, recruitment and contract renewal on Correspondence Management System.
