The program was supported and sponsored by Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Charitable Foundation and supervised by the Women’s Committee for Community Development at the Riyadh Emirate.
The program targeted female leaders from charitable associations in Riyadh. It focused on developing the participants' skills and knowledge to create development initiatives that contribute to achieving the 2030 SDGs. It also aimed to strengthen the role of the third sector in supporting Saudi Vision 2030, especially in community empowerment and local development.
The training covered key topics including the concepts and goals of development initiatives, their importance in institutional and social contexts, methods and models for designing initiatives, funding mechanisms, and challenges and solutions for implementation.
On the final day, participants presented practical applications by sharing initial models for feasible development initiatives.
The program lasted five days, totaling 25 training hours, and included active participation from attendees. This reflects its positive impact in empowering female leaders and enhancing the role of charitable associations in advancing sustainable development.
