CIFAL Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Majmaah University and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), organized a dialogue session titled “A Great Idea, but a Painful Fall” in conjunction with World Entrepreneurship Day.
The session was moderated by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at MU, and featured Eng. Omar Al-Omar, Strategic Planning Advisor at Monsha’at and founder of CyberCube for cybersecurity.
Eng. Al-Omar highlighted that Saudi Vision 2030 is driving an era of empowerment, turning entrepreneurial ideas into sustainable projects. He stressed that success in entrepreneurship begins by analyzing the causes of failure and avoiding common pitfalls, adding that a great idea alone is not enough unless translated into a realistic plan with mindful management.
Key topics addressed included:
Identifying reasons for setbacks in entrepreneurial ventures
Practical strategies for building a successful, sustainable business
Forming partnerships and teams to enhance growth and excellence
The session forms part of ongoing efforts to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, supporting entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into thriving projects that contribute to Saudi Vision 2030.
Eng. Al-Omar closed by advising recent graduates that the road to entrepreneurship is full of challenges, but with Monsha’at they can find a clearer, faster path to success, turning ideas into tangible achievements.
