A delegation from the College of Nursing, headed by the Dean of the College, Dr. Ashwaq Asiri, participated in the Scientific Research Day Forum organized by King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah Governorate.

The forum featured a discussion of opportunities for cooperation between the college and the hospital to develop joint research that contributes to improving the quality of health care.

The Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sharifa Al Asiri, explained the structure of heart patient rehabilitation programs and the mechanism for their implementation in heart centers in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of developing programs to keep pace with the needs of patients.

Dr. Fatima Zaghloul also gave a presentation on the effect of delaying umbilical cord cutting in improving glucose and hemoglobin levels in newborns, noting the importance of determining the optimal timing for umbilical cord cutting based on more comprehensive studies and longer follow-up.

This cooperation comes within the college's strategy to support scientific research and enhance its role in contributing to serving the community and developing health services.
