The College of Nursing conducts an Awareness Program on Alzheimer

The College of Nursing, represented by the Volunteer and Community Service Unit, organized an awareness program on Alzheimer’s disease, presented by Dr. Widad Al-Enazi via Ertiqa platform.

The program covered several key topics, including an introduction to Alzheimer’s disease, its causes, symptoms, and early warning signs, in addition to methods of prevention, ways to deal with patients, and the role of families and society in providing psychological and social support to them.

The lecture aimed to raise community awareness of the importance of understanding the nature of the disease, to promote a culture of caring for the elderly, and to emphasize mental and emotional well-being. It also highlighted the significance of maintaining positive communication with patients and involving them in daily activities to enhance their quality of life.

Various segments of the local community engaged in the program and showed great interest in the topic and its valuable insights.
