The College of Nursing organizes a Workshop on Faculty Academic Promotion Regulations

The College of Nursing organized a workshop titled “Academic Promotion Regulations for Nursing Faculty”, presented by Prof. Jazi Al-Otaibi, as part of the college’s efforts to educate faculty members about academic promotions and foster a culture of research among faculty members.

The workshop began with an overview of the importance of academic promotions in enhancing teaching and research performance, motivating faculty to actively contribute to scientific production and professional excellence. Prof. Al-Otaibi explained the university’s promotion criteria, procedural steps, and the point system used for evaluation.

Participants were also briefed on the types of research accepted under the promotion regulations and how scientific points are calculated for faculty members in the College of Nursing, ensuring clarity and transparency of standards.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, allowing faculty members to address inquiries and gain a clearer understanding of promotion procedures and requirements.
