MU PARTICIPATES IN 16TH MEETING OF THE SECRETARIAT OF THE DISTANCE LEARNING COMMITTEE OF GCC COUNTRIES IN KUWAIT

Based on the approval of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, Majmaah University has participated in the 16th meeting of the Secretariat of the Distance Learning Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries at Kuwait University.
Dr. Khalid Al-Mudaibry, Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs of e-Learning Deanship, represented the university in this meeting.
He said that a number of recommendations were made at the end of the meeting which are expected to increase the level of cooperation between universities and higher educational institutions of GCC countries in the field of distance learning.
Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, MU Vice-Rector and Supervisor of e-Learning Deanship, said that MU’s participation in this meeting was motivated by the rector’s concern to take part in any meeting supporting the modern concepts in education, and e-learning in particular.
“I hope that similar meetings will come up with recommendations that contribute in unifying the future vision of e-learning and distance education.” The vice-rector added.
The Secretariat of the Distance Learning Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries submit its recommendations to the Secretariat of Rectors and Directors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions of GCC Countries.
Prof. Al-Dosair also said in his statement that the coming meeting of the Secretariat will be hosted by Majmaah University.
