First Meeting of Strategic Plan Committee

The Strategic Plan Committee convened at the Vi-Rector’s Office to draw up the Operation Plan of the Office. The initiative agenda and proposed performance indicators were discussed along with the responsibilities and deadlines. For the Operation Plan to comply with the University Strategic Plan in terms of goals achievement, a statement of the need for coordination was issued. The Committee also stressed the Vice-rector’s instructions concerning the academic and organizational objectives of the Office. Moreover, several aspects were considered including the improvement of admission opportunities as well as developing admission criteria and academic programs on campus to achieve a sustainable growth. Furthermore, the meeting focused on student and faculty satisfaction, student advising and the development of services and pedagogical approaches at the University. Initiatives of Quality assurance in addition to the enhancement of its system and measuring performance indicators were also discussed. The importance of quality stems from its substantial role in attaining academic and institutional accreditation.
