Goals:

1. Help graduates to gain academic and professional knowledge in accounting to join the market or pursue higher education.

2. Train students to adhere to the ethics of accounting profession.

3. Contribute to the improvement of accounting profession by further research and studies. 

  تأسس البرنامج بموجب قرار مجلس التعليم العالي الصادر بتاريخ 1428/8/27 هـ تحت مظلة كلية العلوم الإدارية والإنسانية لجامعة الملك سعود بمقر المجمعة، وتم افتتاح القسم مع بداية العام الجامعي 1430/1429 هـ.  وفي منتصف العام الجامعي 1434/1433 هـ تم تغيير مسمى الكلية إلى كلية إدارة الأعمال وأصبح قسم المحاسبة من ضمن أقسام كلية إدارة الأعمال بجامعة المجمعة. كما وافق مجلس الجامعة في العام نفسه على افتتاح شعب لطلاب قسم المحاسبة في مقر الكلية بالزلفي؛ وفى عام 1436هـ وافق مجلس الجامعة على افتتاح شعب للطالبات بالمقر الرئيسي للجامعة بالمجمعة.

The program was set up based on a decision issued by the Higher Education Council on 27/8/1428 AH under the College of Administrative Sciences and Humanities of King Saud University at Majmaah branch. The Department of Accounting was launched at the beginning of the academic year 1430/1429 AH. During the academic year 1434/1433 AH, the name of the college was changed to be the College of Business Administration, and the Accounting Department became one of the departments at the College of Business Administration in Majmaah University.
