Under the patronage of MU's rector, Prof. Saleh al-Mezal, the Deanship of Student Affairs launched the first phase of 'Mazaya and Sharakat' Program in a ceremony held by MU in the presence of vice-rectors, deans and head of departments. 

The dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Saleh al-Rashidi, pointed out that the deanship strives to provide students with the the best services. With this in mind, the first phase of 'Mazaya and Sharakat' program was launched with the aim of encouraging students in partnership with multiple companies and stores. The program is also expected to promote the university's logo and inculcate among students a sense of belonging. Over 60 stores have participated in the first phase, hoping that more stores will materialize in the second phase.

The Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, launched the Financial Guarantee System for scholarship students in his office. This initiative is part of the university's efforts to shift towards digital transformation in all its transactions. The system enables students and faculty members to apply for financial guarantees through the electronic "My Services" portal. The applications will be processed by the Scholarship and Training Administration without the need for in-person visits.

Mr. Hamad Al-Senani, the Director of the Scholarship and Training Administration, pointed out that this system is one of many services provided to students under the supervision of the vice-rector.

For his part, the Vice President for Educational Affairs explained that these agreements focus on achieving integration with the concerned parties related to the activities and programs provided by the Employment and Alumni Affairs Services Center at the university, and within the framework of achieving its assigned objectives, stressing that the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, for all the activities of the center has a great impact on raising the level of services provided to the beneficiaries of the center as part of the strategic directions of the Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs.

The Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Al-Aboudi, stressed the importance of the memorandums of understanding concluded between the center and its partners in various sectors, namely: Aram Meem Trading Company (Toyo application), Majmaah Governorate Municipality, Sudair First Renewable Energy Company, and Finn Medical Laboratory Company.

For his part, the supervisor of the Employment Services and Alumni Affairs Center, Dr. Saleh bin Amilah Al-Rashidi, explained in his speech on this occasion that the center has worked since its inception to provide periodic programs that contribute to qualifying graduates for the labor market, 44 courses and workshops have been provided that include the most important basic courses to qualify for the labor market, such as building a CV, a personal interview, job search methods, the most important employment sites and applications, and how to create pages on employment sites. The center also works to provide qualified programs for professional certificates and professional licenses, where qualifying courses were provided to obtain a teachers' license, an aptitude test for university students, and a cognitive ability test.

Dr. Al-Rashidi stressed that the center, based on the opinions of partners in the public and private sectors, is working in cooperation with the relevant colleges to provide many development programs, including, but not limited to, the training program to develop English language skills for graduates through the Business English course, which will be held quarterly, God willing.

Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi explained that the aim of activating these partnerships is to open new horizons of cooperation with partners, contribute to reducing the time to obtain a job, and training for male and female graduates, in addition to identifying the needs of partners and helping them choose the most appropriate employee who meets their needs.

The two memorandums of understanding between the university - represented by the Applied College - and each of: Al-Faleh Sports House Company, and Al-Sulaiman Real Estate Company, come from the college's keenness to achieve many goals, including: providing training and consulting expertise to develop knowledge and skills, qualifying college students in the best specialized institutions, providing job opportunities for graduate students, and exchanging diverse experiences, which is positively reflected towards raising and enhancing the skills of national human competencies, and strengthening their readiness to compete in the local, regional and global labor market.

The Applied College was represented at the signing by the CEO of the Applied College, Dr. Shadi bin Abdullah Al-Shuwaier, and the Sports House Company was represented by Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Atallah, in his capacity as Director of Human Resources Department, and by Al-Sulaiman Real Estate Company, it was represented by Mr. Khalid bin Mutlaq Tanni, in his capacity as Director of Human Resources.

His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, and His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Charitable Fund, Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, signed on Sunday a cooperation agreement between the university and the Social Charitable Fund to support the educational programs provided by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education to the groups covered by the Fund's services by providing 100 free educational scholarships worth two million riyals. Majmaah University The agreement was signed at the university's headquarters in Majmaah.

 

The meeting began with a presentation on the objectives and areas of the agreement, presented by His Excellency the Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Omar bin Musaed Al-Shrioufi, where he reviewed the objectives of the agreement, and methods of activating joint cooperation between the university and the Social Charitable Fund based on common goals, and matching the message of each of them in the field of community service.

Then His Excellency the Rector of Majmaah University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, delivered a speech in which he thanked His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs for the cooperation and interaction that the university found in order to sign this agreement and follow up on everything that would provide advanced education for the groups served by the Fund, considering this agreement a continuation of the university's approach in building bridges of cooperation with all ministries and government and private sectors in order to provide advanced services to the community in line with the goals and aspirations of the university. He explained the impact of such agreements in enhancing cooperation and the company that aims to serve the community, and also thanked all employees of the Social Charitable Fund.

After that, His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Charitable Fund delivered a speech in which he reviewed the programs and activities provided by the Social Charitable Fund in the field of providing educational grants to the beneficiaries of the Fund's services, and praised the role played by Majmaah University in community service, and its efforts in activating cooperation between the university and the relevant ministries, which achieved a leading role among Saudi universities. Dr. Al-Othaimeen also stated that the Social Charitable Fund has laid the foundations for permanent cooperation with Saudi universities because of their rich expertise and scientific competence, indicating that the charitable fund will sign a number of other agreements with other universities and that the fund will cover the full material costs in order to educate the sons and daughters of the beneficiary families.

 

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, honored His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charitable Fund, Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, the Director General of the Social Charitable Fund, Mr. Adel Farhat, and the Deputy Director General for Programs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi.

Based on the achievements of the university in the field of community initiatives, and the unlimited support of the university leaders for everything that serves community members and achieves integration with the university's units and institutions operating in the community, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education signed a cooperation agreement with Alinma Bank, which facilitates students enrolled in paid educational programs and gives wider horizons to facilitate their payment of tuition fees for paid programs.

His Excellency the Vice President of the University, Dr. Musallam bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, sponsored the signing ceremony of an agreement between the university, represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, and the charitable warehouse in Majmaah, on Wednesday 12/3/1437 AH, and this agreement aims to collect used, damaged and consumed papers in all university buildings in Majmaah Governorate by collecting and selling them and investing the proceeds of sale in supporting charitable projects carried out by the charitable warehouse in Majmaah. And benefit from it, as an extension of the university's efforts in building bridges of cooperation between it and local community institutions and to achieve its goals in community service.

His Excellency the Vice President of the University, through a speech delivered on this occasion, expressed his thanks and gratitude for these steps taken by the Deanship of Community Service towards local community institutions and activating cooperation initiatives with charitable organizations, and he also thanked His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Charitable Warehouse, Mr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Muhareb, for signing this agreement and thus contributing to activating the mechanisms of cooperation between the university and the local community.
