We live in a time full of important transformations and major developments in all fields. Scientific research is one of the major players in this change to achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030 that aims to maintain comprehensive development, diversify the Kingdom’s economy, and improve the quality of life for citizens.

At the Humanities and Administrative Sciences Research Center, we focus on steering research toward areas that promote development in the educational, social, legal, linguistic, and administrative sciences. We are committed to supporting scientific research that effectively contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

We strive to motivate researchers and advocates of scientific research at Majmaah University to utilize this unique opportunity to conduct research that contributes to the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Investing in scientific research in areas that contribute to promoting development and solving challenges enhances the role of scientific research as a main tool for achieving progress.

- History of the Center:

The Humanities and Administrative Sciences Research Center at Majmaah University was established under the Deanship of Scientific Research. The center aims to enrich knowledge in various fields of research and social studies and disseminate knowledge to the Saudi, Gulf and Arab society. This goal aligns with the aspirations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in research, development and innovation sector and achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The Center strives to fund and encourage world-class scientific research in the fields of humanities and administrative sciences which will contribute to achieving the university’s mission and vision of serving the community and improving the university’s ranking locally and internationally.

Leadership in the field of humanities and administrative sciences research by funding programs that meet different needs.

- Mission:

To be a world-class center in scientific research and innovation in the fields of humanities and administrative sciences locally and globally by funding and encouraging faculty members to conduct research projects that serve the national strategic goals.

-Goals :

 

- Evaluate research projects by faculty members in the humanities and administrative specializations.
- Set annual research topics that contribute to solving problems facing the local community, especially small enterprises.
- Create a conducive research environment to improve innovation and creativity skills, and overcomes the difficulties that faculty members may face in conducting their research.
- Hold seminars and workshops for faculty members.
- Help funded research to be published.
- Increase the research partnership and cooperation with local, Arab and international universities and research institutions.
- Increasing the rate of publication in the Web of Science database (Web of Science- ISI) in the departments of human studies at Majmaah University

- Tasks of the Council of Humanitarian and Administrative Studies Research Center:

The research center is supervised by a board of directors that includes six faculty members who are excellent in scientific research. They were appointed by the rector based on the recommendation of the dean of scientific research and the endorsement of the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research. The council is headed by the director of the research center. The Center’s Council is responsible for the following matters:

 

- Propose an annual research plan and prepare the necessary draft budget for it.
- Study the research projects of faculty members and the like and supervise their implementation.
- Study research projects and studies requested by parties outside the university and selecting researchers to conduct these researches then reward them in accordance with the stipulated rules.
- Recommend spending from the research budget.
- Study the annual report, final account, and draft budget of the center and submit them to the competent authority.
- Study what is referred to it by the Council of the Deanship of Scientific Research.
