“The Majmaah University Strategic Plan Theoretical Framework” provides a general overview for the basic theoretical philosophy, basics and principles upon which the university’s system is based for its future planning endeavors. In essence, it highlights the adoption of an integrated philosophy whose basic pillar is directing the university’s all academic, research, administrative, financial and service activities towards fulfilling customers’ and stakeholders’ satisfaction in addition to continuous development and improvement for the quality of educational services provided for students in order to empower them to reach the highest possible levels of competitive excellence in local, regional and international job market.This can be effectually achieved via the dissemination of an organizational culture essentially based on commitment to beneficiary user-focused, continuous development and improvement, the involvement of both administration and staff in achieving performance quality, effectiveness and excellence in addition to instituting a continuous evaluation system for university performance in all its various aspects in a way fulfilling desired academic and total quality standards.It’s against this backdrop that the Majmaah University Strategic Plan Theoretical Framework focuses on highlighting the following core issues, namely:¶  Strategic planning historical development and concept;¶ Importance of applying strategic planning in higher education institutions;¶ Goals of implementing strategic planning in higher education institutions;¶ Internal/external pre-requisite requirements of strategic planning for higher education institutions;¶ Strategic planning process success factors;¶ Major characteristics of strategic planning in higher education; and¶ Basic components of strategic planning at the university level.
