National Committee of Bioethics at KACST in a virtual visit to MU

In line with the precautionary measures against the pandemic of COVID-19, the Local Committee of Research Ethics at MU welcomed virtually a delegation from the National Committee of Bioethics at King Abdul Aziz City for Science & Technology on Tuesday.

The aim of the visit is to review the local committee’s documents, research, and studies as well as the works of the committee.

The visiting team included: Dr. Zuhair al-Qawi, manager of the Research Ethics Office, Dr. Essam Tawfiq, assistant office manager of monitoring for technical affairs, Mr. Mohammed al-Ghamdi, secretary of the committee, Mr. Meshaal al-Mutairi, legal researcher, and Mr. Abdelrahman al-Harbi, scientific research.

A meeting was held to address the goals of the visit and work procedures. Some research was selected randomly for discussion and recommendations were made accordingly.

The head of Local Committee of Research Ethics at MU Dr. Thamer al-Harbi, extended his thanks to the Research Ethics Monitoring Office for their efforts to make the visit successful.
