Under the patronage of the Rector, Dr. Khalid Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren and with the presence of His Excellency the Vice Rector, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Al-Hugail and a number of Deans and faculty members and staff, the Deanship of Information Technology organized a ceremony of distinguished sub-sites, faculty members and staff portal award for the academic year in the auditorium of the University in the main campus. The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holly Qur'an recited by Mr. Abdullah Marzooq Al-Shatery, followed by a speech delivered by His Excellency the supervisor of the Deanship of Information Technology, Dr. Omar Bin Mohammed Al-Mutaiha where he gave a presentation on the Award Committee and reviewed the university competitions in the field of technology which will have a positive impact by enabling the university to reach advanced positions in the e-government program (Yusr) and the international website organization is concerned about reducing the bugs W3C In e-portal. His Excellency also stated that the evaluation of the e- portal in the program (Yusr) was (100%), and that the percentage of the errors in the university portal according to (W3C) is (zero).He also explained that the criteria for evaluating the sub-sites is derived from (Webometrics) international standards.He also noted that the criteria have been agreed on in the second meeting of the website supervisors (33 supervisor) on 26/4/1433. the committee of award for sub-site, faculty member and staff portal was formed the decree of the Rector No. 245, dated on 08.06.1433 H, Chaired by Dr. Musallam Al-Dossary, and the membership of Dr. Hamad Al-Omran and Dr. Omar Al- Mutaiha, Mr. Mohamed Sahli and others. An initial assessment was made and the results were revealed to all relevant authorities, followed by a final evaluation has been discussed and approved.He also reviewed the results of previous competitions which were presented in the form of statistics to show the vast difference made by the Deanship of Information Technology in a short period especially with regard to electronic services provided through the portal of the University due to God and the ongoing and unlimited support by the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans of Colleges and Deanships and Departments, in addition to the efforts made by the supervisors of sub-sites and faculty members who dedicated their time to decorate their pages to become a reference for students and researchers in search engines.Addressing the audience, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khaled Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren delivered a speech where he welcomed the audience and then extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the supervisor of the Deanship of Information Technology, Dr. Omar Bin Mohammed Al- Mutaiha and his colleagues in the Deanship for their effort and said that their achievements are added to the successes of the university.He also noted that this success comes only as a natural result of the dedication to work which made the portal of the University is highly developed. His Highness thanked all of the employees of the university confirmed the continuation of the award each year. Finally, His Highness awarded winners as follows:

It was also announced that the rest of the supervisors (from 11th to 23rd ) of the sub-site will be awarded with a certificate of thanks and a very expensive Pen as a reward for their efforts to make the e-portal of the university a successful one. All the rest of the faculty members and staff (150) will also be awarded. Deanship of Public Relation and Information was given a shield for their efforts in highlighting the eminent news and activities in the university. Some Prizes were given to the staff of PRI (iPhone 4S) and they are: Thamer Al-Thumairy, Mohammed Al-Eid and Ibrahee Al-Yousif. The Deanship of Information Technology presented a trophy on the occasion to His Highness the Rector of the University.
