DEANSHIP OF QUALITY & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT THE FIELD VISITS PROGRAM TO THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGES

As The Deanship of Quality Skills and Development has been attempting to bridge the gap of communication with colleges and to promote the quality culture to assist colleges to be well-prepared to meet the requirements of academic accreditation, it concluded its field visits program when a delegation from the deanship paid a visit to the college of education, medicine in Zulfi, medicine & business administration in Majmaah and science and humanities in Ghat & Rumah. The delegation was headed by the dean Dr. Khalid al-Jarallah and included his deputies Dr. Abdelrahman Al-Rebei’an and Mr. Yasser Al-Huzeimy.

Dr. Al-Jarallah mentioned that the underlying purpose of the visits is to know the upcoming projects of the deanship like the developmental evaluation- which will be launched by next academic year in cooperation with the National Commission for Assessment and Academic Accreditation. It is worthy to mention that the university has successfully completed the initial self-assessment project which is deemed as an essential step for the national accreditation. The visit also aimed at identifying the obstacles faced by the colleges in applying the practices of quality.

The deanship has prepared a presentation to be presented in every visit which includes the importance of making use of the initial assessment results for the college as well as the project of most readiness programs. The presentation also incorporates the importance of paying attention to the suggestions provided by the deanship to colleges which will provide an invaluable opportunity for the advancement of the colleges to attain the academic accreditation requirements.
