THE UNIVERSITY CONTINUES ITS PREPARATIONS TO HOST THE THIRD MEETING OF RECTORS OF THE UNIVERSITIES

The University continues its preparations to host the third meeting of Rectors of the Universities, who are in charge of projects, operation,  maintenance, security, and safety in Saudi Universities, which will be headed by his Excellency Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saif,  that is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 04/11/1434 H, where a special committee has been constituted to prepare for this meeting, that is working to set a suitable plan to prepare for this meeting and host the Rectors of the Universities and those who are in charge of  Security and Safety in Saudi Universities. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Othman Al Rukban,  Vice Rector for Educational Affairs and Chairman of the Committee of Safety and Security at the University, mentioned that adding that this meeting comes within the interests of the Ministry to hold meetings and useful periodic meetings for the exchange of experiences and expertise between Universities. During this meeting,  considering the possibility of establishing a database for the staff of  Security and Safety in the Universities will be on the stage, together with the possibility of establishing an association that is specialized in Safety and Disasters Management to be the scientific and systematic tributary of Safety works at the Universities in coordination with one of the Colleges or  the relevant Academic Departments. In addition to discuss the establishment of Disaster and Emergency Centres at the Universities that do not have such Centres, also the discussion of enabling the Universities to provide general training projects to prepare and create women leaders that are specializing in the field of safety to be the nucleus in building a team in every university, so that each university could nominate participants to enroll in an intensive training program and display the experiences of some universities in the field of Safety and Security. Dr. Al Rukban stated that the constituted Committee to prepare for this meeting has started its tasks and is continuing in its meetings in order to complete the preparations for this meeting ahead of schedule enough time, where the university ,Praise be to Allah, used to host such meetings, forums and establishing conferences and seminars where a number of different delegations were being hosted and the distinction, good organization, hospitality and reception were highlighted . Hopefully the committee to reach our expectation and get the usual excellence, if Allah permit.
