Under the patronage of His Highness the Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren, the Deanship of E-learning & Distance Education launched the project pertinent to the system of e-learning environment D2L & the project related to the development of e-curriculum. The launched took place on Wednesday 20/11/1434H at the conference hall of the Rector’s office with the attendance of the e-learning deanship’s staff on top of which is Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari, His Deputy-Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Mudairabi as well as the Dean of Admission & Registration Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumeih, Dean the IT Deanship Dr. Omar Al-Mutaihi. The ceremony also witnessed the attendance of a delegation of the Arab Develop System Company – Naseej ( the company that carried out the project).
Dr. Al-Dosari addressed the audience about the importance of the two projects for the education process via providing a high quality academic service as well as contributing in enhancing the human capacity and supporting the infrastructure of e-learning deanship with highly developed electronic system. He also made a reference to the cooperation that took place between the deanship and the company as well as the deanship of admission and registration and the deanship of IT.
Eng. Mohammad Hussam also delivered a speech where he mentioned about the project plan via forming a teamwork as well as setting the mechanisms of work that need to be executed. He also added that the project comprises six systems as follow: education content designing & management, education units store, virtual classrooms system, students’ performance analysis, mobilized learning system and e-exam system.
Addressing the audience, the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren delivered a speech where he made a reference to the achievement of the deanship over the last period and its tendency to excel in all projects. He complimented the annual report issued by the deanship for the academic year 1433/1434. With regard to the cooperation with the private sector, he noted that the university is ready to for the concept of partnership with private sectors in a transparent way that would result in accomplishing the university projects and reports. He then launched the project and memorial photos were taken on the occasion of this event.
