His Excellency the University Rector Dr. Khaled Bin Saad Al Muqren, chaired in his office at the university the periodical consultative meeting with Vice Rectors, Deans of colleges & supporting deanships and Directors of departments. The meeting started where the Rector welcomed all members and congratulated them on the progress witnessed by the university and the sequenced successes that everybody participated in. Then the meeting reviewed the topics on the agenda as Dr. Mohammed Al Rukban, Dean in charge of the Deanship of Quality & Skills Development provided a comprehensive vision of international standards for the Quality Management (ISO 9001) and the plan prepared by the Deanship to qualify the university units to meet the requirements of these specifications, which specializes in systems management institutions to improve governance and achieve high level quality through which the university organized its operations and manage its resources at a lower cost in all departments and units.
Then Dr. Mansour Al Dhwaihi, the President of the team assigned to limit the university achievements and their contributions in serving the local development, informed the Deans about the mechanism of building the limitation form and the actions taken and also praised the cooperation of related parties authorities in mobilizing the required forms.
After that, Mr. Mohammed Al Sehali provided a report about the level of institutional maturity in the university using the assessment tool (OPM3) and gave a clarification for the current procedures used to conduct projects at the university,
After that, Mr. Abdullah Al Saab, Director of Follow Up Department gave a presentation about a special program for the Follow Up Department to perform staff assessment and automatic data entry. It is a summary of follow-up department functions. The program will enable to print immediate, monthly and annual reports including assessment and the strength and weaknesses points of each employee to be discussed between the follow-up department and the employee.
His Excellency the Rector gave instructions during the meeting regarding the necessity to give attention and commitment to building and individuals safety procedures in all the university units and various faculties and to become a priority for the University officials according to the his powers, functions and competence assigned to each one.
During the meeting, the efforts and activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs regarding awareness of the damages and the scourge of narcotics during “My Life” exhibition and accompanied activities were praised.
