H.E. Dr. Khalid Bin Saad Al Muqrin, Rector of Majmaah University conveyed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz - may Allah protect him - and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz, God save them for what is allocated for Majmaah University, from the state budget this year which reached to (493.083.000) four hundred and ninety-three million, eighty-three thousand, with increase of 38% from last year budget. This is considered a great appreciation by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the efforts being made in the university and the accomplishments achieved during the first two years of its establishment of the university and the big strides to establish the University in accordance with the highest specifications and standards of the modern universities to be able to meet the desires of knowledge and achieve scientific ambitions of the population of the provinces, cities and surrounding villages up to the expectations of the governors. This was accomplished by the help of Almighty God and then by the great support received by the University from the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, and his continuous guidance that universities should take priority in support and the provision of their needs and under the supervision and follow-up of H.E. the Minister of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Angari and the efforts of the loyal sons of the nation affiliated with this university,
Dr. Khalid showed his happiness with this budget indicated that the amounts allocated for Majmaah University will further progress the University and will enable it to achieve a number of planned objectives and complete what was started in the first two years of development and improvement while providing all necessary requirements for all of the university facilities of deanships, colleges and departments to include buildings and laboratories to developing the capacities of individuals and programs to enable hands of development to reach everything at the University, by God willing.
He praised what education is given of a great interest in this year's budget and placing it in priority by high digital portion of the budget. This proofs the foresight of these country planners and reflects the leadership awareness of the education message, and that the first area of the country renaissance and citizen prosperity and that investment in people is the most successful, useful ways of investing. Building of human mind precedes all types of construction. He pointed out that what was allocated for education in this year's budget confirms the interest in this sector which is the completion of the tremendous steps in this field through the large-scale projects that established to service public and higher education, , exemplified by establishing a number of universities, follow-up their requirements, nurturing and offering permanent support for them and ensuring its progress and advancement. Also we should mention that opening of new horizons for universities’ graduates to contribute to nation building through the joining King Abdullah foreign Scholarship program, which is considered the largest governmental program of Scholarship in the world. The real investment of energies will be the results of great benefit and positive effect during the next few years.
Dr. Khalid Al Muqrin added that the increase in the budget for this year than it was last year, proves of the stability of the Saudi economy and its resistance before the financial and political crises surrounding our dear homeland, which influenced many countries of the world, with continuing policy of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the reform and development and focus on development projects that aim to promote the continued growth, with the creation of new projects and expansion of previous projects for the welfare and happiness of the citizen and providing him with decent life in a perfect environment where all needed requirements and services are available.
His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Muqren concluded his statement by repeating congratulations to all citizens and officials for this budget, which is the largest in the countryhistory, calling Almighty God to keep the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and prolong his age and keep as an asset for his people, his nation, Islamic and Arab world and to perpetuate it a blessing of health and wellness and to guide him to what God loves. He also prayed to Allah to keep and to protect the Crown Prince and perpetuates the grace and the security, safety, stability, pride and empowerment, progress and prosperity of our dear country.
