His Excellency the Vice Rector meets with Dean and affiliates of the Deanship of Quality & Skills Development

Within his follow up activities for work of the supporting deanships and guidance of the Rector, the Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim Al Hugail met with Dean of the Quality & Skills Development, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Jarallah and affiliates of the Quality Deanship. Dr. Al Hugail showed his happiness and thanks to the efforts exerted by the Quality & Skills Development Deanship and its affiliates for upgrading the skills of competent teaching staff of the university, students and management through offering courses, workshops and seminars seeking to promote a culture of quality in the university community to become a conduct of life, In addition, the Deanship pursuits to identify the modern professional development trends, apply the quality standards, and work to improve the work output.

Dr. Al Hugail also reviewed the accomplishments of the institutional self-evaluation plan, the Deanship Strategic Executive Plan of 1432/33H and the Deanship plan to implement the skills development programs, and the mechanism for the implementing these programs.

Dr. Al Hugail recommended intensifying the Quality Deanship efforts in the areas of technology integration of the teaching process, building electronic tests, and the adoption of quality in preparing the test questions that accurately measure the students’ capacity, especially in light of the semester tests currently witnessed by the University. He also stressed on the importance of caring for tests and applying the standards that are characterized by precision and comprehensiveness.

His Excellency mentioned that there is a need to adopt the e-learning mechanisms and distance education in a way that keep pace with the modern information booming and adopt precision, quality of the output, and raising of its competitive efficiency within Arab world and worldwide. There is no doubt that the best outcomes that we care for its quality and upgrading is the human element which form the greatest investment for our nation.

At the end of the meeting, Dr Al Hugail conveyed his thanks to the Dean of Quality & Skills Development, and all affiliates of the Deanship, who worked as one team, and seek to spread this renewable spirit in the whole university hoping that the interaction and active participation is the attitude of all academic and administrative units to establish the culture of quality in the university community.
