His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khaled Bin Saad Al Muqren, chaired in his office at the university this morning the routine consultative meeting with the university vice Directors of Departments. The Rector diseased the meeting by welcoming all members and congratulated them for the occasion of beginning of the second semester for this year. He pointed out that the objectives of the routine consultation meeting is to create an environment of views exchanging and participation of all in important decisions at the university level and contribute in the evaluation of work and to identify the latest developments at the university in the academic and administrative sides to enhance the positive items and cure deficiencies or imbalances, if any. The Rector also thanked the colleges deans for the regularity of the study in all faculties as of the beginning of the the second semester first week, and this indicates the disciplinary and professionalism at work and with honesty and sense of responsibility with completion of equipment and the availability of full requirements of all sections. Then the meeting agenda was reviewed starting from reviewing the decisions of the previous meeting and what recommendations were implemented.
After that, Dr. Mohammed Al Dwaish, Advisor of the Rector Office provided the proposed performance project in the field of the university safety and security and gave some perceptions to set a mechanism that enhances aspects of security and safety according to the current situation in addition to discussing the establishment of a separate Department for security and safety to deal with this aspect and benefit from the experiences of others.
Then Dr. Mansour Al Mansour, Dean of Faculty of Science at Zulfi talked about the proposal of setting a mechanism to support the academic departments’ supervisors to activate their roles wider by giving them the advantages according to the efforts exerted by them, because they represent the importance of the academic movement and the University advancement in the educational field.
Then, Dr. Mansour Al Dhwaihi, Chairman of the Study Schedules Committee, reviewed the Committee report which included statistics and figures illustrating the organization accurately in the tables of all the university colleges at male & female sections, the number of supporting staff, their qualifications and notes related to the table and the problems faced by the colleges in this regard.
After that, Dr. Nasser Al-Jarallah reviewed the measures of final tests in the girls section of the Applied Medical Sciences College, flow of tests, their stages and the mechanism of forming the committees, their functions and models used in tests.
Then, all participants discussed these topics & reports. A number of directives and recommendations were decided regarding these topics and committees were formed. His Excellency the Rector assurance of follow up the implementation of the recommendations, decisions, and then evaluating them.
