The University Council Meeting led by his Excellency Recommends Establishing Two Faculties in Temair Centre and Alartawayah County

On behalf of his Excellency, the minister of Higher Education, Professor Khalid bin Mohammad al-Angari, his Excellency Rector of the University, Dr. Khalid bin Sa’ad al-Muqrin head the 5th university council 1432/1433 H in the meeting hall in the office of his excellency Rector of the university with the presence of the general secretary of higher education, Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz al-Saleh (through vision communication), deputies of the university, deans of faculties and supportive deanships. Vice Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary of the council, Dr. Mohssen Bin Abdelrahman al-Mohssen states that his excellency Rector of the University commenced the meeting by welcoming all audience, then several issues were reviewed by the council, most important is the problem of establishing a number of faculties in the centers and counties attached to the university after completing the necessary procedures with regard to this matter. The council recommended its approval to establish two faculties in Temair Center and Alartawayah County. The two faculties will include a number of scientific majors which will meet the needs of citizens and market. Dr. Almohssen added that that the council recommended establishing a center for teaching Arabic for non-Arabic speakers. The center also intends to support learning Arabic Language for the employees and students under scholarship whom the university is attempting to attract for Bachelor and postgraduate studies. The council has also discussed the need to establish a department for Basic Scientific Science and Medical Education in Dentistry Faculty. The council has also approved some of the academic and administrative decrees as well as the criteria of salary for bachelor students in the university.
