Dr. Musallam Al-dossary headed the first Meeting of the Deanship of E-learning and Distance Learning Coordinators in the University Colleges

Under the Chairman of Dr. Musallam Bin Mohammad Al-dossary, Dean of E-learning and distance learning, the deanship held its first meeting of e-learning and distance learning coordinators in all faculties of the university attended by the Deputy Dean Mr. Thamer Aldgeshi, both of the coordinators Mr. Fahad Al-Rashidi from faculty of Education in al-Majma'ah and Mr. Raed Al-Zahrani School of Medicine in al-Majma'ah, Mr. Ramzi al-Zaid from faculty of administrative sciences and humanities in al-Majma'ah, Dr. Kamal Samida from faculty of applied medical sciences in al-Majma'ah, Mr. Wael Twayjiri from  Community College in al-Majma'ah, Dr. Mustafa Ya’aqoob from faculty of engineering in al-Majma'ah, Mr. Jaaber Fahham from faculty of education in Zulfi, Mr. Riyad Mutairi from faculty of science in Zulfi, Dr. Khaled al-Omar from faculty of science and humanities in Hwtah, Mr. Ali al-Maiman from faculty of Science and Humanities in Remah, staffs from the deanship,  Mr. Abdulelah al-Mutairi, director of management and educational channel, Mr. Faisal al-Shammari, director of training development and Mr. Ali al-Maliki, supportive administrator and Nasser al-Alsalbood supportive administrator. Dr. Musallam al- Dosari commenced the meeting by thanking the coordinators for their concerns to attend this meeting. He also pointed to the development of E-learning in various fields of education and its modern applications. Moreover, he reiterated the support and encouragement by the Rector Dr. Khaled bin Sa’ad al-Muqrin for the technical and educational projects of the deanship. After that, there was an introductory presentation for the deanship and its projects presented by deputy dean Mr. Thamer Aldegeshi and Director of Training and Development, Mr. Faisal Hakem al-Shammari where a concept has been provided about the goals of the deanship, among which is seeking to improve the level of education from the traditional approach to the interactive E-learning through dividing that goal into sub-goals that can be achieved by the deanship with high quality and international standards. The presentation pointed to the achievements of the deanship since its establishment until the current time. Moreover, the projects of the deanship were shown during the presentation such as, Smart Class Project (Smart Hall), which will be implemented in several stages as  preparing educational halls, interactive whiteboards, display device, electronic platforms, sound system and internet connection, presenting the project of system of E-learning through the learning management system (LMS), the system of electronic quiz (e-quiz), virtual classroom (VC) and the system of technical support (SST) with the integration of academic registration in the university. Also, the educational studio project, networks and its educational preparation, as well as the training project of E-learning culture and it’s software and educational devices, E-learning units and centers in every college, as well as designing interactive learning curriculum and educational channel. Mr. Abdulelah al-Mutairi has also added that the success of the educational channel will be through the participation of colleges and their coordinators via covering all of its projects and research in serving the community.some other projects were presented during the presentation such as the Center of Electronic Tests, establishing E-portal which will include all services of deanship. Mr. Thamer Aldgeshi has added a description for each of the deanship projects and opening the floor for discussion. He also emphasized that the coordinator is the co-founder, coach and motivation for his colleagues to develop E-learning via channels which will provide any assistance needed for the faculty. Finally, the meeting was concluded by a discussion session in which suggestions, opinions and recommendations were provided.
