Law Department Participates in the 2nd International Conference for Sharia and Law in Islamic Science University of Malaysia

Under the guidance and follow up of His Highness the Rector, Dr. Khlaid bin Sa’ad al-Mogren, Law Department in college of Administrative Sciences and Humanities in Majmaah University participated in the 2nd International Conference for Sharia and Law in Islamic Science University of Malaysia which was launched in the presence of His Highness Minister of Malaysian Justice, His Highness the Rector and His Excellency Dean of Sharia and Law College. The participation of Mjamaah University was represented in presenting a paper by His Excellency Head of Law Department, Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah al-Shaafi titled “Criminal Law and the Protection of Morals and Values: Saudi Legislation as a Model”, and His Excellency Assistant Professor in Law Department, Dr. Najeeb bin Omer Awaynat with a paper titled “Universality of Human Rights Under New International System“ . The two papers were referred, approved by the scientific committee of the conference and thus published in the conference issue which included all participated refereed papers. Scientific discussion has taken place between participants who came from several countries like Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan and Libya. This participation by Majmaah University comes as a step forward for the university to gain recognition among other universities in participating in international conferences.
