The University Hosts a Number of Courses, Meetings and Workshops as a Part of the National Scout Program of Environment cleanness and Protection

The university being representative in Deanship of Student Affairs hosted two workshops as a part of King Abdullah international project “Messengers of Peace” entitled “Messengers of Peace Strategies “and “Messengers of Peace Projects -Reality and Prospective”. Around 40 personalities from the world scout delegation, who are regarded as distinguished international scout characters that played an important role in implementing King Abdullah international project “Messengers of Peace” have participated in every workshop “Messengers of Peace” from 2 – 9 p.m. Among the participant characters in the meeting, in addition to Prof. Abdullah Bin Suliman Al-Fahad, Mr. Luke Benison, General Secretary of the World Scout Association from France, John Feqan, Director of the World Scout Association, Ireland, Peter alyang, Director of Messengers of Peace in the international region, America, Tomas Tchi, Director of Ertdoa International Center for Training, Mrs. Shuong Shook Ling, Malaysia, Carlos Alas, participant scout in Messengers of Peace Program, Salvador, Victor Olando, Nekaragwa Scout Association, Nekaragwa, Dr. Aatef Abdulmajeed, General Secretary of Arab Scout Association, Sudan, Mr. Yousf Mahmood Kedaj, Director of Arab Scout Committee, Lebanon, Mr. Abdullah Al-Swayd, member of Community and Environment Development and Service, Kuwait and  Tays Stoafer, Director of World Scout Center in Kinder sting, Switzerland. The university also hosted from 4-8 Jumada 1433 in its campus a number of courses, meetings and workshops as a part of the national scout program of environment cleanness and protection (4th Version) 1433, which was launched on behalf of Dean of Student Affairs by Deputy of Student Affairs Deanship for Student Activities and General Supervisor of Scout in the university Mr. Khalid Bin Ibraheem Al-Ofaisan with the presence of commissioner of stages development in Saudi Scout Association Mr. Abdullah Bin Saleh Al-Kudairi two workshops. The first one was about preparing mutual work programs (distinction competition) which aims to prepare mutual working programs which stopped over the last ten years, the second one is concerned about revising and developing ranks in scout. Faculty members and scout supervisors from Al-Majmaah University, King Saaud University, Imam University and Jubail College for Technical Training  participated in the two workshops. Within the same period, the first meeting of pioneer scout was hosted; this association intends to bring harmony between early scout boys and the association in attempt to spread awareness among community, institutions and individuals for the scout movement to fulfill its message. Mr. Khalid al-Ofaysan mentioned that the university is honored and pleased with this host. He also extended his thanks to His Highness the Rector for his guidance and support for all kinds of activities, and His Excellency vice Rector for his follow up of scout activities. He also expressed his gratitude to the Saudi Scout Association for their choice of Majmaah University to host such important workshops and meetings. He also extended his thanks on behalf of Dean of Student Affairs Deanship to Quality and Skills Development Deanship and Community Service and Continuous Learning Deanship for their support in using training halls as well as Public Relation and Information Administration for their support. He also stressed that the university, based on the Rector directions, contributes in hosting several programs which reflect the achievements made by the university in all sectors among which is student activities which contribute in fostering its plans as well as programs via conducting workshops that benefit students in general and Mjamaah university students in particular.
