The University accepted the invitation made by His Highness Prof. Sultan Abo Orabi, secretary general of the Association of Arab Universities. His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Sa’ad Al-Mogren participated in the forty fifth meeting for the general conference of the Association of Arab Universities which was conducted under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammad the Sixth in the university of Syed Muhammad Bin Abdullah in Fa’as city, Kingdom of Morocco with the participation of more than 180 universities, in addition to a number of representatives from international and Arab organizations as inspectors. Majmaah University was granted the membership of the Association of Arab Universities as it fulfilled all membership requirements. The participants in the course entitled “The Future of Arab Universities in the Light of Arab Changes” which lasted for two days have also discussed the general policies of the Association and its working plans, the establishment of scientific research fund project, the annual general balance, final account and the acceptance of universities in the Association membership. His Highness the Rector stated that the recognition of Majmaah University as a member of the Association of Arab Universities directly without being a participant member is an evidence for the academic and scientific achievements as well as the various student activities which gained the interests of the delegation of the Association of Arab Universities during its last visit. His Highness the Rector also expressed his gratitude for the good reputation the university gained among Arab and Saudi academic fields which he figured out during his meeting with a number of officials from Arab Universities in the conference, despite the university was newly established. His Highness the Rector attributed all these achievements to the government of the Custodian of Two Holly Mosques as well as the constant follow up of His Highness Minster of Higher Education and his Vice for their concerns about the Saudi Universities to play their role in serving the citizen. His Highness the Rector also extended his thanks and appreciation to all university staffs for their efforts and contribution which resulted in consecutive achievements and success.
