Under the patronage of His Highness the Rector, Deanship of Quality and Skills Development with participation of National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) organized the (Quality Day) and inaugurated the Institutional Self-Assessment Project of the University. A meeting was held with officials in the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment with presence of His Highness the Rector and leaders in the University. A speech ceremony was held which was initiated by a recitation of the Holly Qur’an for the student Ibraheem Aleydan, followed by a speech for the Dean of Deanship of Quality and Skills Development, Dr. Khalid Al-Jarallah where he extended his thanks to His Highness the Rector for his patronage of the ceremony and the unlimited support for the quality activities, His Excellency the General Secretary of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment and His Excellency the General Secretary of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation. Dr. Aljarallah stressed the University strategic plans to ensure the quality and academic accreditation. After that, His Excellency the General Secretary of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, Dr. Abdulkareem Al-Muslim delivered a speech where he expressed his happiness for his presence in Majmaah University, then he talked about the establishment of the commission and his optimism for what will be achieved in the University. He also thanked His Highness the Rector for holding this function and he mentioned that the commission is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to the University. Addressing the ceremony audiences, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Sa’ad Al-Mogren welcomed the officials of the commission and audience, and he stressed that quality is a responsibility and it won’t be achieved without the efforts of all. He also commended the efforts made by the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development to achieve quality in the University. His Highness also appreciates the unlimited supports received by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques as well as the constant follow-up of His Highness the Minister of Higher Education and his vice. His Highness then awarded shields to the commission and University staffs for their efforts and cooperation. After that the Institutional Self-Assessment Project was inaugurated by His Highness the Rector which is regarded as the first step to attain the academic accreditation. His Highness also required Deans of colleges and deanships to take care of quality issues and make it a daily knowledge to achieve the University vision and message. A lecture was given by the General Secretary of Quality Assurance and Accreditation where he focused on the way of how to establish an integrated quality system in colleges and units of the University. He also mentioned about the importance of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) and its usage in accordance with the needs of the University at current situation. Finally, the meeting was concluded with several discussions which show the extent to which of university staffs awareness about the quality and academic accreditation.
