His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Saad Al-Mogren launched the electronic catalog for the Deanship of Library Affairs, which was designed based on "Koha" system for libraries, with the presence of Vice Rectos, a number of Colleges and Deanships Deans, directors of departments and faculty members in a speech ceremony held on this occasion. The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a speech for the Dean of Library Affairs Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Ibrahim Al-Omran in which he thanked the Rector for sponsoring the event and supporting the Deanship of Library Affairs continuously to meet its needs. He also welcomed the presence of Vice Recto Deans, and all audience for accepting the invitation. after that, he presented a summary of the electronic catalog project steps and the mechanization of nine libraries of the University, projects and achievements carried out by the Deanship since its establishment like electronic catalog, job description for staff libraries, as well as units and departments description of the Deanship. Then, His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Bin Masood Sharif, Director of Technical Knowledge, presented a visual presentation with an explanation for the electronic catalog and how to search and retrieve information in the libraries of the University. Addressing the audience, His Highness the Rector gave a speech in which he thanked the Dean of Libraries Affairs for the effort being exerted and the excellent work, and congratulated him on the achievements being made.His Highness regarded any achievement being made is actually a real investment to the facilities provided by the Government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of Higher Education and His Deputy. He also said that we live in a challenge where supports need to be transformed to achievements and ideas to work. He added that We are always proud of the successes whose source are loyal men. Finally, the ceremony was concluded by awarding the Deanship of Library Affairs, then the Deanship of Library Affairs, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Omran presented a shield to the Rector in appreciation for the support of the Deanship.
