In compliance with the directives of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren to utilize the young generation capacity in the development of the state, ‘MU Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ was launched and organized by the Students Innovation Center. The primary aim of the award is to utilize the capacity of students to serve the nation as well as to develop their creativity skills.
The Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies, Mohammed Al-Shaya’a, stated that this award is a clear evidence of the university’s perseverance to develop innovation skills among students and reward creative works. Such support, Dr. Al-Shaya’a, added would result in encouraging more students to take part in such award.
Dr. Al-Shaya’a also mentioned that the participation in this award is open for all educational institutions that surround the university. With regard to the conditions for participating in the award, Dr. Al-Shaya’a said that for every category of the award , there are special conditions that must be complied with for the candidate to be considered.
Among the general terms for the award, Dr. Al-Shaya’a made a reference to a number of them which includes that the innovation must be the first of its kind and to contribute in solving a problem.
Dr. Al-Shaya’a concluded his speech by extending thanks to the Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren for his unconditional support of all academic and social objectives of the university.
