CHAIRED BY THE RECTOR: HIGH COMMITTEE FOR FOLLOWING UP THE UNIVERSITY PROJECTS, BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT HOLDS ITS EIGHTH MEETINGS AND FOLLOW UP THE STUDENTS NEEDS

 

The Committee of Following up the University Projects, Buildings and Preparations conducted its eighth meeting chaired by the Rector, Dr. Khalid Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogrento follow up on several issues including:- An examination of the reports that identify the needs of the university and its matters with purchasing management in the Administrative and Financial Affairs.- Following up the status of financial items of renovation, additions, and equipment, establishment of halls and terraces and laboratories.- Discussing the latest in qualifying the university buildings and the establishment of halls, terraces and support buildings.- Following up the directions from the Ministry of Higher Education related to the needs of students including buildings, equipment and services. In this context, the Rector stated that the Committee while following up the works which have been recommended in previous meetings, especially with regard to the needs of students, had received a letter from the Minister of Higher Education mentioning the need to identify the needs of students including buildings, equipment or services, and to coordinate with the Ministry of Higher Education to provide them to the university. As the university has striven since the endorsement of this year's budget on the formation of this committee to work on supporting the competent authorities at the university to take appropriate decisions as well as facilitating construction and qualifying, the needs were identified by the university which helped in saving time and providing the Ministry of Higher Education with the required needs.His Highness also mentioned that the university is keen to touch the needs of male and female students and to conduct predictive studies of those needs in each year. His Highness pointed out that they are about to announce the construction of buildings for Science Faculty and Humanities Faculty in Ghat, and Hawtat Sudair as well as the support buildings in the main campus in Majmaah followed by ,God willing, announcing projects for students in Majmaah, Zulfi and Remah. His Highness the Rector extended his thanks to His Highness the Minister of Higher Education and His Deputy for their personal follow up of projects of the university, especially with regard to projects of buildings for students and related equipment and services under the guidance of the wise leadership led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to create an appropriate environment for university education.
