A unit for predicting the instability of weather was launched by MU under the patronage of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and the presence of Eng. Abdul Aziz Al-Dughaither and Mr. Mohammed Al-Mukaiteb from the Office of PME in Riyadh, Brigadier General, Hamad Abanmi as well as a number of figures who are interested in weather forecast.
The primary role of the unit is to be electronically linked with PME and Civil Defense to minimize the risk that might be caused from severe weather and ensure the safety of students.
MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren expressed his gratitude with the partnership of PME and Civil Defense which shall pay dividends in the future. Dr. Al-Mugren also attributed this achievement to the unconditional support of King Salman’s government and his Crowns.
