In compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the month of Shawwal (1437), the MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren has urged the Astronomical Observatory Committee (AOC) to prepare for sighting the crescent of Shawwal.
The Vice-Rector and Chairman of (AOC), Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari stated that a meeting was held to discuss the latest preparations for sighting the moon.
The Director of AOC, Mr. Abdullah Al-Khudairi, mentioned that the preparation of sighting the moon includes setting-up all required tools, publishing all sight-related brochures and coordinating with all concerned sectors.
