His Highness the Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren inaugurated on Monday morning the first gathering ceremony of distinguished experiences for Saudi charitable organizations organized by the Deanship of Community Service and Continues Education titled “ Towards distinguished charitable work). A rhetorical ceremony was held on this occasion at the auditorium of the main campus attended by His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Namlah, ex-Minister of Social Affairs and Deputy of Islamic Affairs, Endowment Dawa’a and Guidance for planning and development, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Sabban and a number of officials. The ceremony was initiated with beautiful recitation of Qura’an by Daifallah Al-Mutairi followed by a speech for Dr. Omar Al-Sharufi, head of executive committee where he elaborated the goals that the gathering strives to achieve among which is promoting the culture of charitable work among social society as well as discussing the role towards the society and to provide solutions and opportunities against the obstacles encountered by the society. The gathering titled “Towards a distinguished charitable work”. Charitable work witness these days a dramatic development in all it projects and programs which resulted in a gap between charitable organizations and the inquiries about the reasons behind the excellence of the charitable organizations outcomes. He also added that the gathering tends to achieve several goals among which supporting and promoting charitable work culture among society, discussing the role of charitable work from all respected parties, shedding the light on media role against charitable work and exchanging experience with charitable organizations and making use of their latest success and experience. He mentioned that the topics of the gathering among which is the distinguished administrative approaches for charitable programs and projects based on systemic and scientific frame, employing e-technology in charitable work, incorporating a wide range of the society segment, professional ways in marketing charitable work via creative ideas and constant enhancement of the organization’s programs based on continues assessment. Finally, He expressed his thanks to the Rector for his patronage, support and directives to facilitate the work of the committee. Addressing the audience, Dr. Khalid Al-Shafi talked about the mechanisms of work for the scientific committee since its assignment. Wining organizations were rewarded. After that, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren delivered a speech where he welcomed Dr. Ali Al-Namlah and audience. He stated that his attendance is to participate in the gathering which receives a great concern from the wise leadership which implied the importance of the charitable work. He also added that the university is content with the participation of elite and wish that such events either in the university or outside would remain due to its importance. Finally, Dr. Ali Alnamlah delivered a speech about the charitable work in the kingdom (reality and aspirations).
